MAC London Programs (centre)

Below are some of the various programs hosted by the MAC Westmount Centre and planned for the MAC Hyde Park Centre. The centres also host various programs organized by the Youth, Outreach, Spiritual Development. Quran Hifth (Memorization) Classes

MAC London is proud to offer several Hifth programs for children, men and women in various ages and levels. Please see poster for more details on the full list of classes offered.

Day Camps (March Break, Summer, Winter Break, etc.)

MAC London hosts various day camps during school breaks that offer S.T.E.M. educational activates, arts and crafts, Islamic Studies and much more! Snacks are included and early drop off and late pick up is available. Spots are limited, first come first serve. Please see sample poster below for more information.

Arabic Classes

MAC London is offering Arabic classes for children and sisters 18 years and older. This program will focus on learning the basics of the Arabic language and applying lessons to the Quran.

Family Nights

Family Night is a fun and educational program for all members of the family every Friday at 7pm. Adults can attend a beneficial talk by Sh. Adnan Rajeh or other speakers, while kids enjoy learning stories of the Prophets. There is also free babysitting available for toddlers.

Teen Youth Groups

A special program for boys and girls in grades 6,7,8 with a focus on learning important historical figures in Islam and nurturing their Muslim identities. Please see poster for more information.

Women’s Fitness Program

If you are looking for a good workout then come out and attend our ladies fitness class. Experience a full body workout in a supportive environment led by sister Angie Daouk, who specializes in exercise and nutrition. If you’re looking to make a change in your workout routine or wanting to start something new this class is suitable for all levels.

Halaqas (Religious Learning Circles)

MAC London hosts various different halaqas to address the needs of the community and share the learnings of our faith and spirituality.

  • Community Halaqas: These are open to all genders and age groups and include halaqas such as Seerah (Biography) of Prophet Muhammad (saw), Quranic Tafsir (Commentary) in English and Arabic, Hadith, and much more.
  • Sisters’ Halaqa: MAC London currently hosts one sisters’ halaqa run by sister Sarrah Lawendy that sisters are welcome to attend.
  • Closed Halaqas: MAC London hosts various closed halaqas for community volunteer workers to facilitate spiritual and character development in order to be able to serve the needs of the community. These halaqas occur bi-weekly between a consistent group of sisters or brothers. Any community volunteer wishing to participate in halaqa send a message to the admin staff from the contacts page.

Ramadan Programs

Ramadan is the most active time for the community and the centres. Taraweh prayers are hosted every night and the entire Quran is recited in prayers over the course of Ramadan. Moreover, the centre also hosts iftars regularly for the community to come together in sharing a meal. Additional halaqas are also hosted, and in the last 10 days community members are able to make Qiyam (night prayers) and participate in Suhoor (pre-dawn) meal. A Quran memorization competition also takes place during the month Ramadan. Finally, donations are collected for important community charitable efforts.
