Youth Weekly Halaqas

Brothers' Youth Group (BYG)

Brothers Youth Group (BYG) is a Muslim group that provides mentorship, self-development opportunities, and knowledge for high school boys, while also keeping them connected with their faith. Our programs include weekly sports activities, where boys can come together, have fun, and develop teamwork skills. Additionally, we offer Islamic reminders to help keep boys focused on their religion. Our mentorship program provides guidance and support from positive role models, who act as guides and inspire the young men to strive for excellence and become well-rounded individuals. BYG is dedicated to helping young men become confident, successful, and faithful members of society.

Sisters' Youth Group (SYG)

Sisters’ Youth Group (SYG) is a volunteer-run weekly program committed to creating and maintaining spaces for high-school girls that foster spiritual growth and meaningful friendship, and instill a sense of belonging within the faith-based community and Canadian society. SYG ‘halaqas’ are structured, open social and learning spaces that take place every Friday from 6:30PM – 8:30PM in Mississauga.

MAC Youth Sisterhood (MYS)

MAC Youth Sisterhood (MYS) is a program within the MAC Youth Mississauga chapter. MYS hosts discussion circles and social events for young women aged 18+, as well as speaker events for the community at large. The aim of the group is to form a sisterhood where young women can form friendships with other similar-minded young women and have regular intellectual discussions on relevant topics.
