Ramadan Spiritual Growth Project
This Ramadan, embark on a transformative journey of spiritual growth! This project focuses on key Islamic practices, designed to strengthen your connection with Allah. Over four weeks, progressively deepen your engagement with prayer, Quran, supplication, fasting, and remembrance of Allah (Adhkar).
Goals:
- Enhance prayer routine.
- Increase Quran recitation/memorization.
- Cultivate douaa (supplication) habit.
- Experience the blessings of fasting.
- Develop a consistent Adhkar practice.
- Foster family supplication.
Components:
- Woudu: Perform Woudu before each of the five daily prayers. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=93kjPt6ajaA
- Prayer: Pray the five daily prayers. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jZwOvVJmH8o
- Quran: Daily recitation, increasing weekly:
- Week 1: Recite Quran 15 minutes.
- Week 2: Recite Quran 15 minutes + memorized one surah.
- Week 3: Recite Quran 20 minutes + memorized one surah.
- Week 4: Recite Quran 20 minutes + memorized two surah.
- Douaa Wall: Create a family Douaa Wall. Each member writes douaas, increasing weekly: https://tinyurl.com/bde3ynjj
- Week 1: write 3 douaa in your Douaa wall.
- Week 2: write 4 douaa in your Douaa wall.
- Week 3: write 5 douaa in your Douaa wall.
- Week 4: write 6 douaa in your Douaa wall.
- Douaa: Recite wall douaa daily at Maghreb adhan.
- Fasting:
- Week 1: Fast at least 3 days.
- Week 2: Fast at least 4 days.
- Week 3: Fast at least 6 days.
- Week 4: Fast at least 7 days.
- Adhkar: Daily recitation after each salah, increasing weekly:
- Week 1: Recite (Astaghfirullah al-Azim) (أستغفر الله الغظيم) (15 times) after each salah
- Week 2: Recite (Subhan Allah wa bihamdihi, Subhan Allah il-Azim) (سبحان الله وبحمده سبحان الله العظيم) (20 times) after each salah
- Week 3: Recite (Subhan’Allah wal hamdu lillaah, wa la ilaaha il-lallah, wa Allahu akbar) (سبحان الله والحمد لله ولا اله الا الله والله اكبر) (25 times) after each salah
- Week 4: Recite (La ilaha illallah wahdahu la sharika lahu, lahul-mulk wa lahul-hamd wa huwa ‘ala kulli shai’in qadir) (لا اله الا الله وحده لا شريك له له اللملك وله الحمد وهو على كل شيئ قدير) (30 times) after each salah
Report: Share daily progress with parents.
