Ramadan Spiritual Growth Project
This Ramadan, embark on a transformative journey of spiritual growth! This project focuses on key Islamic practices, designed to strengthen your connection with Allah. Over four weeks, progressively deepen your engagement with prayer, Quran, supplication, remembrance of Allah (Adhkar), Tasabih, and obedience to parents.
Goals:
- Enhance prayer routine.
- Increase Quran recitation/memorization.
- Cultivate dua (supplication) habit.
- Develop a consistent Adhkar practice.
- Establish a Tasabih routine.
- Prioritize obedience to parents.
- Foster family supplication.
Components:
- Salah:
- Week 1: Pray the five daily prayers on time every day.
- Week 2: Pray five daily prayers on time + Ishaa in jama’ah (at masjid or with family).
- Week 3: Pray five daily prayers on time + Ishaa & Maghreb in jama’ah.
- Week 4: Pray five daily prayers on time + Ishaa, Maghreb & Fajr in jama’ah + Laylat al-Qadr Tahajjud in masjid.
- Quran:
- Week 1: 5 pages recitation + 3 ayah memorization daily
- Week 2: 5 pages recitation + 5 ayah memorization daily.
- Week 3: 7 pages recitation + 7 ayah memorization daily.
- Week 4: 10 pages recitation + 8 ayah memorization daily.
- Sunnah Prayers:
- Week 1: Fajr Sunnah, Shafi & Witr daily.
- Week 2: Fajr Sunnah, Shafi, Witr, & Duha daily.
- Week 3: Fajr Sunnah, Shafi, Witr, Duha & after Maghreb Sunnah daily.
- Week 4: Fajr Sunnah, Shafi, Witr, Duha, after Maghreb Sunnah, before Asr & after Duhr Sunnah daily.
- Douaa Wall: Create a family Douaa Wall. Each member writes douaas, increasing weekly: https://tinyurl.com/bde3ynjj
- Week 1: write 3 douaa in your Douaa wall.
- Week 2: write 4 douaa in your Douaa wall.
- Week 3: write 5 douaa in your Douaa wall.
- Week 4: write 6 douaa in your Douaa wall.
- Douaa: Recite wall douaas daily at Maghreb adhan and make Iftar douaa at Iftar time (اللهم إنى لك صمت وبك آمنت وعليك توكلت وعلى رزقك أفطرت ذهب الظمأ وابتلت العروق وثبت الآجر إن شاء الله)
- Adhkar:
- Week 1: Morning & evening Adhkar daily.
- Week 2: Morning & evening Adhkar + 50x Istighfar daily (Astaghfirullah al-Azim) (أستغفر الله الغظيم)
- Week 3: Morning & evening Adhkar + 75x Istighfar daily (Astaghfirullah al-Azim) (أستغفر الله الغظيم)
- Week 4: Morning & evening Adhkar + 100x Istighfar daily (Astaghfirullah al-Azim) (أستغفر الله الغظيم)
- Tasabih:
- Week 1: Tasabih after Asr, Maghreb, & Ishaa.
- Week 2: Tasabih after Duhr, Asr and Maghreb & Ishaa.
- Week 3: Tasabih after Fajr, Duhr, Asr and Maghreb & Ishaa.
- Week 4: Tasabih after Fajr, Duhr, Asr and Maghreb & Ishaa.
- Obey Parents: (Details to be specified for each week – consider adding specific acts of service or kindness).
- Week 1: Focus on listening attentively and responding respectfully.
- Week 2: Proactively offer help with household chores.
- Week 3: Seek their advice and guidance on a matter.
- Week 4: Express gratitude for their love and support.
Report: Share daily progress with parents.
