About the Facility
In Ottawa, the Muslim Association of Canada operates several programs across the city that strive to advance the holistic development of the Muslim individual, family and community. It is particularly well-known for its full and part-time Islamic schools and large annual Eid prayer and festival gatherings.
MAC is a Canadian charitable organization and a grassroots social movement. MAC focuses on serving Canadians by educating and motivating Muslims in Canada to put their faith into action for the benefit of everyone. The Ottawa chapter is one of 13 chapters across Canada. It is the largest chapter of MAC in Canada. It is also the first chapter to operate a full-time Islamic school, the Abraar Elementary School.
